About Rachelle Oseran
I am a fitness professional certified by ACE (the American Council on Exercise) and for over 3 decades I have specialized in working with pregnant and postpartum women. I am a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, Doula, Pilates and Yoga instructor and a mindfulness instructor, and have presented internationally to birth and fitness professionals, physicians and physical therapists on prenatal and postnatal exercise.
Hundreds of women have come to me after being told by a surgeon that the only way to draw these muscles back towards the midline of the body is through surgery. While this is true for a very very small number of women with DR, I have helped literally hundreds of women return their abdominal muscles to a healthy, functional state through an integrative, holistic approach of progressive strengthening and stabilizing exercises and movement. In addition, mindfulness tools help us let go of beliefs and habits in our minds and bodies that may be perpetuating the dysfunction.
I have immense satisfaction when I hear how these exercises and tools have helped women with chronic back pain and urinary stress incontinence. When women can confidently go back to doing the things that they love, whether it be Zumba, running, swimming or playing on the floor with their kids, I am fulfilled. What joy to have played a part in helping them live their best lives!
